I got my info. from some old Genealogy papers that were started by my Aunt in the 60's thru the early 70's... Here Goes... I show Peter Jensen of Nakskov, Lolland, Denmark(born 1852) and wife Sena Christiansen, having a daughter Emelia ,born 1876 in Lollands, Denmark... married Hans Fries, born in Lollands in 1871... Hans died before 1825 when I find Emelia as a widow in Clinton, Iowa, she was 49 and owned her home. They are both burried in Clinton ,Iowa Cemetery. but it does not show her death date on my paper... These papers state that there are 3 children with a ? mark as if they weren't sure... Can You help me out on this does it sound like your family too. I have just started back on THIS search... I hope to get more info. very soon... The girls were in their thirtys and were both teachers. James a 63 years old. I don't find any of them after that. I wonder if James shows up in the death records after 1920 (and perhaps his wife - she was born in Illinois). The girls might have married after 1920. Can anyone look this up at the courthouse? John's brother Albert is my husband's gggrandfather. I show 4 children born to Theodore (wife unknown) Tebbe and that he (Theodore) died on route to USA and was buried at sea. Albert's daughter Elizabeth married George Carl Busch. My husband is a Busch from Lost Nation, Iowa. This stuff is interesting, isn't it!

They appear in the 1900 Iowa Census with sons Herlof and Axel. Henrikke Larsen (Lassen) maried Fredric Boysen. Presumably went to Iowa also. Both are sisters to my great-grandmother, Anna Christina Larsen, who married Broder Hincks. All are from Dahler, Denmark. They came to Portland, ME in the 1860's.
