    1. Henry Soenksen, 1890, Clinton County, Iowa
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Qk.2ADI/2027 Message Board Post: I am seeking information on a Henry Soenksen who lived in Clinton County, Iowa in 1890. He signed an affidavit and appears as a witness to the marriage of Anna Pauline Hansen and Peter Franzen. I am trying to establish what connection he may have had to Anna Pauline. This was her first marriage and Peter's second. Anna Pauline Hansen immigrated from Doerpum, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany between 1887 and her marriage She was the first of several siblings who came to the US, and was a young single woman when she did so--only about twenty years old. More than likely she had someone here that she knew or was related to from the old country. The name Soenksen appears elsewhere in the family tree, and is a common name in the area Anna Pauline is from. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Joni.
