Hello Everyone: I was at a yard sale and found the following news clipping and marriage certificate. It is for the marriage of Artemus E. Snyder and Nellie Galusha 26 Dec 1900. The couple was from Fulton IL but married at the M.E. Church in Lyons. The cert. is signed by Pastor John Q. Robinson The newspaper clipping (no note of which newspaper) states: "The marriage of two well-known young people of Fulton occurred on Wednesday, December 26, that of Miss Nellie Galusha, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Galusha, and Arthur E. Snyder, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Snyder, the couple going to Clinton for the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Snyder are favorites in the society in which they move and are both known as aimable, industrious and pleasing, and are happily receiving the best wishes of many friends. The young people will begin housekeeping and their new life on the farm of the groom's father, J. H. Snyder, near Gardenplain." If this is your family, I would gladly send the certificate to you for what I paid for it plus postage. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to our census project. We now have the following years census records on cd: 1840, 1860, 1880, 1900 and 1920. We have 1850 completely online and we have a promise for the 1910 records. 1870 I'm working on getting yet. (There is no 1890) Anyone who would like look-ups: Please put "Census Project" as the subject of your email with the year you want a look-up. Try to use the info that is online at http://www.rootsweb.com/~iaclinto/census/census.htm These cds are not indexed. It would be very helpful if I know where to start looking. Please only ask for me to look-up one family at a time. You can submit another request when I send the results of the first one. Anyone who would like to help transcribe some of these records, please email me. I'd like to try putting images online for you to transcribe. We would be starting with the 1860 since I already have Camanche done and online. The photo does not have the photographers studio address or location. There are no dates. The only thing is a hand written name on the back of this 5X7 B&W oval photo. There are a few spots of "something" on the photo, but not enough to mar the importance of the photo. This man appears to be in his 60's and is wearing a suit jacket and striped shirt. This is a bust picture or he along. Could this be your relative? I will send this photo to the connecting relatives for the price I paid plus postage. Jackie in IOWA
I am looking for birthdates, death dates, children, spouses, parents of the following persons: John C. Hedden married a Mary Mather on 7 Aug 1854, and William Hedden married a ?Dunn 31 Jan 1856. I believe the men were brothers, and their father may have been Samuel Hedden who came to Clinton Cty. from PA.with the rest of the family. If this is the correct family, then William and John had the following sibling, James, married a Mary Wood in DeWitt, Mary A. married a Lewis Artis, Henry, and Reason B. Thank you Deb Brobst
