Clara is my grandmothers sister and unfortunately I know ever little about her and her family. I am going to copy your request and take it to Iowa with me and I will be more then happy to take pictures for you. I have a digital camera so I can easily send them via the internet and you can print them from there or if you prefer I can take a regular camera with me and take pictures with that. Her husband was William D. Vickery b. 22 Dec. 1849 in Clinton co. Iowa. Marriage date is 4 Dec. 1879. I believe this marriage took place in Clinton co. Iowa. I believe this couple moved from Clinton co. Iowa to Ida co. Iowa in the decade of the 1870's I have never been able to find out anymore about Mary Jane's heritage. Recently though, I came across another bit of info that may be a clue. Here goes. William D. Vickery (son of Justus Vickery) had a brother Nelson J. Vickery. In the 1880 Clinton co. census Nelson J. is listed with his wife Rosa, two children AND a father-in-law Cyrus Phillips age 66. The info given on Cyrus in the census was that both he & his parents were born in New York State. Now with this recently found cencus info, I am wondering if maybe William's wife Mary Jane Phillips & Nelson's wife Rosa were maybe sisters & daughters of Cyrus Phillips. I would be gratefull to anyone who can help me find out more about this Phillips clan. Thanks: Scott <[email protected]

Do you live in Clinton County, Iowa? I am a native Iowan, born in Davenport and raised off and on around relatives who lived in Oxford Junction and Wyoming, Iowa, however being a military brat I have been in California most of my life. Judy, I don't mean to sound to forward in my questions, but, I was wondering if you had information on other Knabels or Homrighausens that you would be willing to share? I know very little about my Knabel family line and some about my Homrighausen.I am related to the Knabels through John and Anna Knabel who were my great great grandparents and their daughter Anna (Knable) Homrighausen was my great grandmother, her daughter Lillian (Homrighausen) Petersen is my grandmother. I am also related to the Homrighausens through Johann and Anna (Gernand) Homrighausen, Johann Phillip and Caroline (Keller) Homrighausen, their son John Philip Homrighausen was my great grandfather, some of these family members are buried at St. Pauls Cemetery and others at the Big Rock Cemetery. I was also wondering, again nit meaning to sound forward, that if you live in the vicinity of St. Pauls Cemetery would it be possible to get photograph of my family headstones I would be more than willing to pay f! or the cost and return a favor for you if I can, or maybe you know of someone who would do this for me. Thank you for your time. Karen in California :)

Mary B. sent us the following information: "I requested copies of my husband's grandparents wills through the County Clerk's Office. According to info I found in clinton roots I sent book #and page #. She needs death date since the books are not what she looks at for making copies. I suppose if I was looking through the books myself I'd need book# and pg#. She asked me to inform the genweb people that when ordering by mail she needs death date. Also a copy of the will costs 50 cents per page not $10. Hope this helps." Jackie previously let me know about needing the date of death, I'm sorry I didn't get this info online sooner.
