In the year 1869 she was married to Fred Huff in Burlington, Iowa, where they made their home for a few years, after which they moved to Kansas, later to St. Paul, Minnesota, returning to Iowa in 1889, farming in Allamakee county and living for twenty-seven years in Monona, Iowa. Mr. Huff passed away in 1921; also two children preceded her in death. Members of the family remaining are Emma, Mrs. Leas of Waukon, Iowa; Fred of Marquette:, Mary, Mrs. Fish of Luana, Iowa; two sisters, Elizabeth, Mrs. Kaolpman, and Annia, Mrs. Jacoba, both of Yarmouth, Iowa; two brothers, Fred and Henry, also of Yarmouth, Iowa; fifteen grandchildren and great grandchildren and friends. Mrs. Huff was a wonderful mother devoted to her family and her duties, an interested supporter of the Methodist Church, not sparing herself for those she loved. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church, Monona, on Wednesday morning, July 15, at ten o'clock, the Rev. George W. Turner, pastor of the church, officiating. Music rendered by Mrs. George Wiethorn and Mrs. Klotzbach, consisted of "Abide with me:, "In the Garden, and "Jesus, Lover of My Soul." Mesrs. Leas, Fish and Huff, grandsons, acted as pall bearers. Internment in the City Cemetery, Monona. Funeral arrangements with Carl Schultz. Death date 12 Jul 1936.
