    3. Jerrian, Lucy was my 3rd Great Aunt from her Schrunk marriage, and could possibly connect into my Hammond line also. The mother of Lucy's husband, Thomas F. Schrunk, was Josephine Hammond. I've been trying to find a connection between Josephine and Lucy but can find very little information regarding their births or their parents. I have Lucy's obit (shown below), and I think I may have a copy of the register entry for her death in Clayton county (I'll check my files and send you that later). I'd be interested in knowing the source for Lucy being born in Hamburg. Best wishes, Jim Remy +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Thursday, 2 November 1911, Guttenberg Press, Osterdock, p4, c3 and 4: Lucy Schrunk, whose maiden name was Hammond [Hamann, Hamman], was born in Germany March 12, 1847. He would like confirmation of where she was born (Hamburg, Germany) and her parents' names, if possible. Would anyone have access to or know where to find, obituary, death cert. or marriage cert. information? Perhaps her birthplace and/or parent's names would be listed on them. Lucetta (Lucy) HAMMOND, B: March 12, 1846, Hamburg, Germany. D: 24 October 1911, Colfax Springs, Clayton County, Iowa, Married to Thomas Francis SCHRUNK 14 October 1868, Clayton County, Iowa.
