Lindenberg, 84, at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 1980 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Elkport, with Rev. Martin Osterlah, conducting. Mrs. Lindenberg died Tuesday, July 15, 1980 at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital. Burial was in Mt. Harmony Cemetery near Garber with the following pallbearers: Karl Ketz; Lon Lindenberg; John Lightfoot; Ira Moser, Lawson Waterman and Robert Schultz. Mrs. Lindenberg was born Feb 21, 1886 in Clayton County. Her parents were Charles and Elizabeth Brandenburg. She was married to Henry Lindenberg on Feb 18, 1914. Mr. Lindenberg died in 1929. Mrs. Lindenberg had been a cook at the Central Community School. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and held many offices in the church. Surviving are one son, Lowell of Elkader; three grandchildren: six great grandchilden and five sisters; Mrs. Alma Troester of Strawberry Point; Mrs. Howard (Lena) Noack of Guttenberg; Mrs. Helma Noack of Postville: Mrs. Lawrence (Alice) Waterman of Colesburg and Mrs. Earl (Mildred) Hageman of Guttenberg. Witt Funeral Home, Elkader were in charge of arrangements. (source not given)
