She was united in holy wedlock to Charles H. Brandenburg, Sr. on February 25, 1892, thus living with her loving husband 39 years, ten months and 14 days. To this union 1 children were born, the youngest, Ralph, dying in infancy Dec 21, 1913. Her life was a hard one. She was ever ready to help where help was needed and seldom complained. She lived all her life in Clayton county, where she passed peacefully away after a lingering illness at her home north of Garber, Jan 9, 1932, entered her long deserved rest. She leaves to mourn her untimely passing her husband and ten children, Mrs. Alma Troester, Mrs. Bertha Webber and Mrs. Roam Lindenberg of Garber, Charles Brandenburg of Guttenberg; Mrs. Velma Naaco of McGregor; Arnold Brandenburg, Garber, Mrs. Leona Naaco, Osterdock, End and Alice Brandenburg and Mrs. Minard Chapman of Garber; seven grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Beaver, Morley, Minn; four brothers, John Wendt, Nora Springs, Henry Wendt, Auk Rapids, Minn; Herman Wendt, Auk Rapids, Minn. and Fred Wendt, Garnavillo. She reached to age of 58 years, 11 months, 13 days. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan 12, 1932 at 1 oclock at the home of the deceased and at 1:30 p.m. at the Evangelical. Lutheran. Emmanuel Church, Elkport, Ia. Interment in Mr. Harmony cemetery, the Rev. FFA. DMA in charge. (source not given)
