Ferrall DATE: 2/14/2006 at 06:01:41 Surnames: MINIHAN,DOUGHERTY,BAHNSEN,MCCARTY,FASSBINDER,DITTMER,MANGAN,HANSON,PRIDEAUX,NOELLER Patricia Louise 'Pat' Minihan died Sunday, Oct. 3, at her home in Canton. She succumbed to cancer at age 66. Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, Oct. 6, at St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Canton, with burial at Forest Hill Cemetery near Canton. Patricia Dougherty was born Dec. 20, 1937, in Elkader, Iowa, to Peter and Leone (Bahnsen) Dougherty. She graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School in Elkader, where she excelled in basketball. She worked for the Production Credit Association of IA. She married William Minihan on Feb. 20, 1960, in Elkader and the couple moved to Canton in 1963 to farm. After raising seven children, Mrs. Minihan worked in food management for 13 years, retiring a year ago. Survivors include her children: Erin (Shawn) McCarty, Sioux Falls, Mike (Theresa) Minihan, Blue Rapids, Kansas, Pat (Missy) Minihan, Canton, Tim (Valerie) Minihan, Brandon, Andy (Holly) Minihan, Worthing, and Molly Wiley, Canton; 17 grandchildren; her sisters: Jean (Jerry) Fassbinder, Postville, Iowa, Darlene (Jack) Dittmer and Delores (Bob) Mangan, Elkader, Janice Hanson, Cedar Rapids, and Jeanette (Tom) Prideaux, Marion, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Jim; granddaughter, Claire; parents; a sister, Marilyn Noeller; and brothers, Bernard, Jerry, and Jim. -source: Brandon Valley Challenger, 10/12/2004 (South Dakota)
