About forty-nine years ago she immigrated to America, locating in Clayton County on a farm near Cedar Creek. The last years of her life she spent with her son Charles H Brandenburg Sr. at Garber. She passed away Friday morning, September 18, 1931 at 3 a.m.. Previous to her passing she was bed-fast the last year. She leaves to mourn her death, three children, two daughters and one son namely: Mrs Marie Kahlstorf, Mrs Lena Zittergruen and Charles Brandenburg Sr. Her husband and one daughter preceded her in death. Besides mourning her loss are thirty grandchildren and fifty-two great grandchildren and many friends. Her passing takes out of our midst one of the oldest residents of Clayton County. She reached the age of 96 years, one month and three days. Funeral services were conducted September 20, 1931 at the home of her son Charles at 1 p.m. and at the Lutheran church at Elkpost at 1:30 p.m. Burial was in the cemetery at Garnavillo, the Rev F. E.
