SCHEFFERT Henry Luehsen Jr. and John Scheffert, of Elkport, drove to Clermont Saturday and returning the same day with the remains of Mrs. Scheffert, mother of the latter, whose death occured Thursday evening at the home of her son-in-law, Tom Boots, who resides near that place. Thursday evening Mrs Scheffert helped prepare the evening meal, when she complained of not feeling well and medical aid was called, but before the doctor's arrival she had passed to the land of the Almighty. Doctor pronounced death of heart failure. Her remains were brought to this place for burial, the funeral taking place Sunday, Rev. Somerlad conducting the last sad rites. The deceased was a long resident of this township, but the last few years of her life were spent with her daughter, Mrs Tom Boots and family. She leaves to mourn four sons, three daughters, and five sisters, together with many sorrowing friends who extend their heartfelt sympathy to the sorrowing ones. She was laid to rest beside her husband and son who preceeded her in death. May she find rest in that peacefull home above. Ed. Scheffert, of Gunder, Julius Abel, of Monona, John Scheffert, Peter Behrns and daughters and Henry Behrns of Elkport attended the funeral of Mrs Scheffert here Sunday.
