Luana, passed away at the General Hospital in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin March 27,1956 at the age of 67 years. He was born May 29, 1888 in Horten, Norway to Hagbarth Christopherson & Helene F. Pedersen and came to America at the age of 17. Oscar Morch and Cora Elizabeth Sheppard daughter of William "Bill" Peter Sheppard and Anna Otillie Minnie (Marfilius) Sheppard were united in marriage October 27, 1913 at Monona by the Rev. E. G. Glaeser. They lived four years at Hamilton, North Dakota, 23 years near Cresco, and the last 14 years on a farm southeast of Luana. He leaves to morn his death, one son, Delmar of Des Moines, one daughter (Clara) Mrs. Russell J. White of Cresco; 11 grand children; two brothers, Asbjorn Morch of Postville and Mozart of Horten, Norway; four sisters, (Rahnhild) Mrs. Leroy Bird of Mt. Vernon, New York; (Karen) Mrs. Karsten Grambo of Ridgefield Park, New Jersey; Mrs. Helen Ericksen and Mrs. Eli Neilson of Horten, Norway. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Christoffer, and one sister, Astrid Falkenberg. Funeral services were held at 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon, March 30, at the Norway Lutheran Church with the Rev. S. J. Strandjord officiating.
