She graduated from Behrman High, New Orleans, LA in 1955. After graduation, Dottie was employed at the Federal Reserve Bank, New Orleans, LA On September 14, 1957, Dottie was united in marriage to Patrick Miehe at the Holy Name of Mary Church, in New Orleans. Three children were born to this union. Survivors include her husband, Patrick Miehe, Elkader; three children, Debbie (Allan) Bankes, Pensacola, FL., Michael Miehe, Pensacola, FL., Darren (Linda) Miehe, Las Vegas, NV, and her twin brother, Donald (Yvonne) Darcey, Marrero, LA.
