A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, October 31, at St. Patrick Church with the Rev Richard Gaul officiating. Burial was in the St. Patrick Cemetery, Monona. Music was by Linda Bacon, organist. She was born on March 14, 1911, in rural Monona, to Albert and Emma (Maha) Holly. She attended country school through the eighth grade. She was united in marriage to Arthur Alvin Voss on January 30, 1931, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Monona. To this union, one daughter, Edna, was born. Edna was a homemaker and helped Arthur with chores on their farm. Survivors include one daughter, Edna Schmelzer, Monona,; four grandchildren: David (Denise) Schmelzer, Postville; Linda (Don)Gullickson, Monona; Darrell (Deb) Schmelzer, Ossian; Allen (Tali) Schmelzer, Azore Islands; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Kenneth (Helen) Holly, Cedar Rapids, and Louis (Carole) Holly, Monticello. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arthur, on May 1, 2002; a son-in-law, Lorin Schmelzer; granddaughter Lisa Schmelzer; great-grandson Adam Gullickson; a sister, Marjorie Kliefoth, and a brother James Holly. Casket bearers were Eugene Voss, Robert Voss, Bernard Voss, Milton Voss, Doug Bachman, Tom Steinke, Jeff Holly and Lanny Kliefoth. Monona Outlook, November 15, 2006
