Groth, 82, who died last Thursday (Feb. 1, 1968) at a Manchester hospital. The services were conducted by Rev. Ernest Allen, pastor of the Colesburg Methodist Church, and burial was in the Brown Cemetery near Colesburg, Ia. Pallbearers were: Arthur Steinfadt, Leavitt Bush, Arthur Jaster, Albert Jaster, Donald Groth, and Wilson Barnhart. Mr. Groth was born March 26, 1885 at rural Guttenberg the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Groth. On December 12, 1907, he married Stella Smith at Marion, North Dakota. Surviving Mr. Groth are his wife and four sons; Ernest Groth of Garber, George Groth of Guttenberg, Otto Groth if Elkport, and Harold Groth of Helotes, Texas. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren as well as one brother William Groth of Guttenberg, Ia Mr. Groth was preceded in death by a daughter (Edith) Mrs. Lloyd Post, and by an infant son.
