Reply to the message or author by clicking on the link below. *************************************************************************** MESSAGE: (#144740) Anna Marie Meyer <http://iagenweb.org/boards/clayton/obituaries/index.cgi?rev=144740> AUTHOR: Judy Holthaus DATE: 2/9/2007 at 17:20:10 Surnames: MEYER,KICKBUSH Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Tuecke Funeral Home in Guttenberg for Mrs. Anna Meyer 85, who died February 1, 1968 at a Manchester hospital. The services were conducted by Rev. James Brown, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Guttenberg, and burial was in the Friedlein Cemetery near Millville. Pallbearers were: Ernest Kickbush, Ronald Blume, Clarence Meyer, and Carl Kickbush. Mrs. Anna Marie Meyer was born October 20, 1882 in Millville, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Kickbush. On May 6, 1903, she was married to William Meyer, and the couple farmed for many years between Millville and Colesburg. Mrs. Meyer and the late Mr. Meyer left their home not far from Millville after a series of strange events, attributed by some to be a "Poltergeist" began to occur. Furnature was reported to have been over turned, and various items apparently flew about the house without action by those living in it. This occurred in 1959, and during 1960 the couple moved to Guttenberg, but they later entered a nursing home at Manchester, Ia. Mr. Meyer died on December 15, 1964. Surviving Mrs. Meyer is one son, Elmer Meyer. Also surviving are two brothers, Charles Kickbush of Strawberry Point, and John Kickbush of Springville, Oregon.
