He was married to Lulu Reigel on September 24, 1902 at Fairview. The family moved to Colesburg in 1914. Mr. Bush was a salesman most of his life. Survivors are his widow, Lulu; 2 sons, Harold of Colesburg, and Homer of Burlington, Iowa; 4 daughters, Mrs. Grace Evans and Mrs. Lous Charles of Sarasota, Fla., Mrs. Amy Egeland of Independence, Iowa; Mrs. Gertrude Rogers of Morgansfield, Ky., 20 grandchildren, 2 brothers, Robert of Elkader, and Edward of Jacksonville, Fla. and 2 sisters, Mrs. Flossie Parker of Guttenberg, and Mrs. Ruth Welsh of Colesburg. Services were held from the Appleton Funeral Home to the First Methodist Church in Colesburg, March 18 with Rev. Ernest Allen officiating. Casket bearers were: Duane Moser, Neil Prentice, Clark Gull, Paul Way, Fred Mitzner and Ed Breitbach. Interment was in the Bethel Cemetery near Osterdock, Iowa.
