He was 81. Leo was born April 14, 1925 at the family farm in rural Luana. His funeral was held on Dec. 27, 2006 at the Bertas Funeral Home in Chaska. Burial was at Glen Haven Memorial Garden in Crystal, Minn. Leo is remembered fondly by his fellow Luana High School classmates. He enjoyed the class reunions he attended. Leo and Dorothy were employed for many years by Billy Graham/World Wide Pictures in Minneapolis. Leo worked on the ranches in South Dakota in his younger years. He was always a cowboy at heart. Leo was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Eda (Genz) Kruse; stepmother, Hattie (Woodall) Kruse of Marcus; and an infant brother, Virgil. Also preceding him in death were his siblings, Eileen Mohs, Postville, Gene Kruse, Nevada, niece, Connie Kruse, and nephew, Robert Kruse. His brother-in-law, Harold Mohs also preceded him in death. Surviving family members are his wife, Dorothy; sons, Daniel (Suzanne) Kruse, Chaska, Minn., Terry (Susan) Kruse, Vero Beach, Fla. Also surviving are siblings, Marvin (LuLu) Kruse, Sarasota, Fla., Norman (Georgia) Kruse, Ames, James (Diane) Kruse, Postville, and sister-in-law, Gretchen Kruse, Nevada. Leo is survived by eight grandchildren, Katrina, Natalie, Jessica, Nicholas, Alex, Collin, Isabel and Emilee along with many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Family members attending the service from this area were Diane, Kent, Kirk and Sandy Kruse, and Nancy Radloff, all of Postville, and Richard Mohs, Ossian. Norman and Kim Kruse, Ames, also attended the funeral service. Postville Herald-Leader, January 3, 2007. Submitter has no further information.
