H. Hoth Services for Willis A. H. Hoth, 67, were held at Peace United Church of Christ, here, Friday, June 21, 1974. Burial was in East Side Cemetery. The Rev. Marvin H. Marcks, pastor, officiated. Hoth suffered heart failure at this home at 506 East Bridge Street died Wednesday, June 19. A son of John and Elsa Meier Hoth, he was born near Elkader in Boardman Township on August 20, 1908. On June 16, 1930 he was united in marriage to Emma Bahls in a ceremony at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Garnavillo. In 1937 the couple moved to a farm where they lived until 1958 when they moved to Elkader. In 1960 and 1961, he was interested in a feed mill and did carpenter and silo construction work. On November 22, 1908 he was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church in Clayton Center. He was confirmed there on March 25, 1923. Besides his wife he is survived by two children, Mrs. Burnell (Iva Dean) Wilker and Leon Hoth, both of Elkader. There are six grandchildren. He also leaves one brother Edward Hoth, Elkader. Preceding him were his parents, three brothers, Arthur, Emil, and Elmer and five sisters, Mrs. Henry (Trena) Glawe, Mrs. Albert ( Ella) Breitsprecher, Hilma Hoth, Sophia Hoth, and Mrs. Henry (Mahala) Radloff. Pallbearers were: Leroy Hoth, Harry Hoth Sr., Harley Radloff, Vernon Hoth, Stanley Staade and Cecil Bahls. Thank You We wish to thank everyone for the many acts of kindness and sympathy, the food, memorials cards, and flowers, extended us at the loss of our loved ones. A special thank you to Pastor Marcks for his comforting words and the ladies of the Deborah Circle for serving the dinner. It was all greatly appreciated.
