Rev. Terry Hudson officiated with burial in the Monona City Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were her grandchildren. Pallbearers were Dennis Cook, Clifford Knudtson, Linn Heithoff, Randy Hoth, Alan Hoth, and David Hoth. Marilyn Maxine Hoth , daugher of Arthur J. and Margaret Oldag Wagner, was born February 18, 1930, at Monona, Iowa. She was baptized May 21, 1930, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Postville, by Rev. R.B. Garten. She was confirmed April 2, 1944, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, in Postville by Rev. F.R. Ludwig and graduated from the Luana Consolidated high School in 1947. On December 10, 1947, she was united in marriage to Reuben Hoth at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, in Postville. To this union five children were born. Marilyn was a past president of the W.E.L.C.A. and a member of the Hope Circle. She taught Sunday School at Luana and Monona, and was the church librarian at Monona. Marilyn Hoth died Wednesday, September 29, 1993, at Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon. Survivors include her husband, Reuben; a daughter, Gayle (Mrs. Linn) Heithoff of Harvard, Illinois; three sons, Randy of Shorewood, Wisconsin, Alan of Monona, and David of Champaign, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Andrea, Karina, Toni, Neil, Andreanna and Trevor Hoth, and John and Kristen Heithoff; a sister, Ardyth Cook of Postville, one nephew and two nieces. Preceding her in death were her son Leland; parents, and a brother Karlton.
