Durr - IAGen DATE: 4/7/2010 at 08:43:36 Surnames: BAUTER,LINDROTH,PALLAS,SWENSON,DESOTEL Frank Herman Lindroth, son of Frederick and Mary Bauter Lindroth, was born August 25, 1875 in Canada. He was still a child when he came with his parents to the United States and settled in Clayton Center. He was baptized in Canada and was confirmed in Clayton Center. Thereafter he worked on various farms around Clayton Center. On February 8, 1900, he was united in marriage with Miss Lucy Pallas. After he moved on a farm near Garnavillo where he stayed for three years. Then he bought the old Schierholz farm on which he lived until 1919. From there he moved to Luana, where he operated a Grocery Store in the present Merrill Baade building. From there, in the year 1933, he moved into his present home. Due to lingering illness he left in 1954 and made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Hall Swenson. The past three weeks he spent in a home for the aged at Nashua. The deceased had been in failing health during the past four years. He passed away in Nashua last Wednesday, December 31, at 11:45 a.m., having attained the age of 83 years, four months and six days. His wife preceded him in death February 4, 1954. He was likewise preceded in death by his parents, one sister, two brothers and two granddaughters. He is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Florence Swenson of Postville, and Mrs. Irene DeSotel of Monona; two sons: Myron Lindroth of St. Olaf and Effert Lindroth of Waverly; two sisters, two brothers, 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
