Was stricken with apoplexy and died within 15 minutes. She was the a daughter of the late Fritz Vulgraff of Read twp., and was about 35 (sic) years of age. She leaves a husband and seven children, two sons and five daughters, besides a mother, three brothers and a sister, to mourn her untimely death. Ella, the eldest daughter was seriously affected by her mother’s death and has since been quite ill. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at Clayton Center, Rev. Seifert officiating, and was largely attended by sorrowing friends. ~Clayton County Register 30 June 1898
