June 28,2000 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Guttenberg. Pastor Garv Hatcher will officiate the service with burial in the Clayton Center Cemetery in Clayton Center. Honorary pallbearers will be the Northeast Iowa Antique Association members. Pallbearers will be Tom Mohr, Aaron Schroeder, Brian Schroeder, Bruce Newbern, Arlyn Schroeder and Jeff Schroeder. Tuecke Allyn Funeral Home of Guttenberg is in charge of the arrangements. Floyd Fred Schroeder was born January 7, 1910, on the family farm near Guttenberg, Iowa, son of Henry and Anna Schlake Schroeder. He received his education locally, farmed and did custom combining of oats and corn for many years. He was united in marriage with Ora Haverland on February 10, 1934, at ihe First Lutheran Church in Manchester. He was the past president and treasurer of St. John's Church, and was a member of the board of directors of the Farm Bureau, and treasurer of the Northeast Iowa Antique Associafion for many years. He died Saturday, June 24, 2000, at his home in Guttenberg. Survivors include one daughter, Anna Jean (Don) Newbern, Guttenberg; one son, Garry (Lonna) Schroeder; seven grandchildren Dawn (Michael) Bilsten, Bruce (Karen) Newbern, Jill (Thomas) Mohr, Galen (Cindy) Schroeder, Brian (Melinda) Schroeder, Jeff (Valorie) Schroeder and Aaron (Shanna) Schroeder, 15 great-grandchildren (and one on the way); one brother Stanely (Florence) Schroeder, Guttenberg; one sister-in-law, Marie Schroeder, Elkader, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ora; and two brothers, Delbert and Loren (Arleen) Schroeder.
