Friends may call after 5 p.m. Wednesday at Egelhof Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Rev. Richard Heydinger of Westminster Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery, Elkader, Ia., with graveside services there at 1 p.m. Thursday. She was a member of American Home Department of the Womens Club. She was a graduate of the University of Colorado and a registered nurse. She was born at Marquette, Mich., but had lived in Dubuque since 1913. Surviving are her husband, Dr. Henry M. Pahlas; one son Harold Pahlas, Rockford, Ill.; one daughter, Jane E. Pahlas, at home; five sisters; one brother, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. ~no source or dates
