Stendel, 50, of Lansing died Tuesday morning at Lutheran Hospital, La Crosse, Wis. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church here, with burial in the Clayton Center, Ia. Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home here. Mr. Stendel was the owner and operator of the Dandy Manufacturing Co. here. He was a former member of the Lansing police force and fire department. Surviving are his wife, Gwen; a son, Richard of Onawa, Ia.; a daughter, Mrs. James (Patricia) Voss of Sumner, Ia.; four grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Pearl Stendel of Elkader, Ia.; a brother, Fred of Apple Valley, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Donita) Keleher of Elkader.
