Burial was in the Garnavillo cemetery. She was born near Guttenberg Nov. 7, 1862, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Mueller. She was baptized at Ceres and confirmed in St. Pauls Lutheran church, Garnavillo. Her whole life was spent in and near Garnavillo until the last year, when she lived in Elkader. On Aug. 12, 1888, she was married to George Pahlas, who died March 29, 1894, leaving her with three small children and one step-daughter, Mrs. Frank Lindroth of Luana. The children are George of Rockford, Ill., Mrs. Karl Stiehl and Julius of Elkader. Eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Dorothea Hempler of Bellevue and Mrs. Frank Turner of Los Angeles, Calif., survive. Pallbearers were six grand sons: George Jr. and Charles Pahlas, Clark Pahlas, Leo Walther, Carroll Ehrhardt, and Myron Lindroth. ~Note: Death occurred May 1949
