Glawe 1914-1992 <http://iagenweb.org/boards/clayton/obituaries/index.cgi?rev=282283> AUTHOR: Judy Moyna DATE: 6/1/2010 at 21:01:24 Surnames: GLAWE,VOGT,GUSTA,WILEY,MEYER,KLUTH,GRIMES,HOUG,KRAMBEER IN LOVING MEMORY Reuben Fredrick Glawe son of Edward and Ina (Vogt) Glawe was born September 23, 1914 near St. Olaf, Iowa. He was raised and educated in the area attending rural schools Reuben lived his entire life in the St. Olaf area. He died at home suddenly on Sunday evening. May 10, 1992, at the age of seventy seven. Reuben was united in marriage to Evelyn Gusta on April 4, 1934 at Elkader, Iowa. A daughter JoAnn was born to this union. He worked as a petroleum agent for White Star and later Feico Oil Co. for thirty-seven years. He will be remembered as one who enjoyed gardening, fishing, softball and bowling. He was an active community person, serving on the local school board and fire department. He loved people and truly enjoyed visiting with everyone. Reuben is survived by his wife Evelyn; daughter JoAnn and her husband Russ Wiley of Cedar Rapids; and two grand-children, Todd and Tara.
