    1. Re: possible family of origin for Rosa/Rosetta Wood/Woods, 1895 IA State Census
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Woods, Huesselman Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Zk.2ADE/978.1.1.1.1.1.3 Message Board Post: Wow...you are amazing. You have a lot more experience than I do at this. I didn't even know that there was an iowa state census on ancestry.com, which I have a subscription to. I did a search on Rosetta's husband Albert Huesselman and found him with his parents in Mithcell Co, Iowa in 1895...I didn't know who his parents were either. I'm very excited right now. The Woods family you found could definitely be Rosa and her parents/siblings. It is the exact age for her (age 12 in 1895). When I calculate the father age in 1895 I get that he was born about 1845. The tombstone sais 1827 birth...possibly Rosetta's grandfather maybe or an uncle. How do I know for sure that this is her family? The woods name is so common. With Huesselman, I'm pretty sure I found the right family because I have a brother for Albert and they are both there with the correct ages. For Rosetta...I'm not as convinced...should I try sending for a birth certificate for Rosetta? Rebecca
