Ferrall DATE: 11/9/2004 at 08:31:44 Surnames: MALCOLM Peter Malcolm State Veterinary Surgeon, Secretary and Executive Officer of the Commission of Animal Health was born in St. Marys, Ontario, Canada. He is an honor graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College, Toronto, Canada, ahving been graduated on April 3, 1890, and is still a member of the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association. He moved to Iowa, March 17, 1891, locating in New Hampton, Chickasaw county, Iowa, where he continued in the practice of veterinary science until July 1, 1920. On November 29, 1900, he received the appointment of Assistant State Veterinary Surgeon from Governor Leslie M. Shaw; was re-appointed by Governor Albert B. Cummins on April 27, 1902. On the 26th day of November of the same year he was appointed a member of the State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, which commission he held for six years. On July 1, 1919, he was made a member of the Commission of Animal Health, and on July 1, 1920, was appointed State Veterinary Surgeon by Governor W.L.
