Hi Pat and Mike and members of the list, I have gotten a lot farther on this family that I ever thought possible thanks to sites like this one, and the help of people like Pat and Mike. Please look at the records below from the Nashua paper it turns out I was correct with the Drew family. Simeon Drew is my wife's GGreat Grandfather buried at the Mount Auburn Cemetery by Colman SD so Pat if you have any records on him please let me know. H.O. Stearns was the father of Frank and I think he died before 1900 and his wife married a MOON, there is a record in the Nashua paper that he visited his mother Mrs. Rosetta Moon on Sunday in 1906 so I am pretty sure she must have remarried. Viola Trask is the sister of Frank Stearns if I have things sorted correctly. Family Group Record for B. VIOLET STEARNS The home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stearns of waterloo, former residents of Nashua, was entered by the angel of death early Monday morning, and their five-year-old twin daughter violet, was taken from it to the home above. she was taken sick tith tonsolitis about two week ago and died at 2:30 o`clock Sunday morning. A strange co-incidence is that at the exact moment the little girl passed away a baby boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. Stearns, whose life given to the bereaved parents in their hour of sorrow, comes as a double blessing to their sorrowing hearts. The parents, four brothers and the twin sister are left to mourn the death of their beloved daughter and sister. The funeral was held at the home at 8:30 o`clock, Monday morning, and the remains were brought to Nashua that morning for burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. the body was accompanied to this place by the father, two brothers Loyd and George and two Aunts, Mesdames Helen and Viola Trask all of Waterloo. ============================================================================ ==== General Notes (Wife) ============================================================================ ==== August 8 1907, Nashua Reporter Frank Stearns and two sons left Tuesday for Colman, South Dakota, where he and his family will make their future.
