My gg aunt Johanna 'Anna' B. Quirk, from near Sandsprings, South Fork Township, Delaware County married James Dillon 18 Jun 1879 and farmed near New Hampton therafter. Daughters included: Mary F. 'Mae' Dillon Deyre, Cordelia V. 'Cora' Dillon Starkey and Regina M. Dillon Casey. There was also a Katherine I. 'Kate' Quirk married to a Brannon in Chickasaw County. Kate was from Delaware county and may have been a sister to 'Anna' Quirk above. WPA cemetery records for St. Joseph's Calvary Cemetery in New Hampton show 'Kate' as b. 1855 and d. 1901. The Katie Quirk in my family was b. abt 1849. This does not concern me, however, as this Quirk family was notorious for lying about their true age. Can anyone assist?
