ALMIRA HEALD Funeral services for Mrs. Almira Heald, 84, were held at the Chenoweth funeral home Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. with the Rev. F. L. Hanscom officiating. Mrs. Don Edson was in charge of the flowers. Pallbearers were V. Prudhon, Herbert Prudhon, Herm Ransom, Charles Castor, Clarence Hanson, Sr., and Andrew Kout. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery. Mrs. Heald passed away Sunday, July 9, at a hospital in Pontiac, Mich. Almira Johnston, daughter of George and Mary Johnston, was born March 15, 1866, near Republic. She grew to womanhood in that community and was married to Ethan Wesp in 1891. To this union one son, Floyd, was born. In 1925, she was married to Clyde Heald, who passed away in 1948. For the past two years she has been with her son and daughter-in-law in Pontiac, Mich. She is survived by her son, Floyd; two grandchildren, Floyd, Jr. and Marja; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Pierce; one brother, Andrew Johnston, and a large number of other relatives. Out-of-town relatives attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wesp, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wesp, Jr. of Pontiac, Mich.; Mrs. Lorrene Flugga, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Smith, Mrs. Homer Zuck, Mrs. Howard Neiberger and Carl Johnston, all of Waterloo; Mrs. Ila Johnston, Mrs. Nathan Chester, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Johnston, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Johnston, Mrs. Clair Johnston, Miss Leutie Krieger, Mrs. Ida Langendorfer, Kenneth Orcutt and Andrew Johnston, all of Plainfield; Mrs. W. Oberheu of Waverly; Mrs. Tom Hanna of Cedar Falls and Mrs. Ben Noble of Charles City.
