Specifically looking for any of the following: A death date and burial for William ALLISON b. 1801 New York Rebecca ELYEA/ELYA ALLISON b. 1801 New York Died sometime after 1880 where they are in the 1880 census at Henry GODFREY’S house. (their son-in-law) They removed from Waldworth Co., WI to Chicksaw Co., Iowa In 1873 (In WI In 1870 census) Other of the family that settled in Chickasaw Co. were: Daughter and son-in-law: Sylvaneaus & Deborah Allison ACKLEY Deborah Allison ACKLEY d.4 May1911 in Chickasaw, Co. (I Don’t know which cemetery she is buried in.) Her obit: New Hampton Gazette, New Hampton, Iowa, May 4, 1911 Mrs. S. H. Ackley was born in Steuben county, New York, Jan 26, 1823, and died at her home in Chickasaw April 27, 1911, at the advanced age of 88 years, 3 months and 21 days. Miss Deborah A. Allison was the eldest of a family of ten children, all of whom have preceded her to that land from which no traveler e'er returns, with the exception of one brother, W. P. Allison, of Nashua, and one sister, Mrs. Harriet Godfrey, of Canastota, South Dakota. March 10, 1843, she gave her hand in marriage to Sylvanus H. Ackley, and together they journeyed down life's pathway , ever faithful and true to those vows for a period of more than sixty-two years. Five children were the fruit of this union, four of whom survive her -Mrs Mary Sortor of lonia, Marion and Frank Ackley of Chickasaw and Mrs. Hattie Gillett of Hamar, N.D., Charles M Ackley, her first-born preceding~ the mother home July 18, 1907. In the spring of 1846 deceased, with her husband, moved to Walworth Co., Wisconsin, and in 1873, they together with their family, came to Iowa, settling in the village of Chickasaw, where she has since resided, until the Savior said, "Child, come home." This call came to her husband June 5, 1905, since which time mother has only been waiting and longing for the summons - "it is enough; come up higher." Deceased was a faithful Christian, uniting with the Baptist church in Illinois in 1865, and ever since being a true follower of Christ, doing her duty and serving her Maker earnestly and conscientiously. Her's was a life of labor and devotion to her family A good woman and a loving~ mother has fallen asleep - "Asleep in Jesus, blessed sleep, from which none ever wake to weep." She leaves besides her children, brother and sister, fifteen grandchildren, grown to manhood and womanhood, and eighteen great-grand children, to mourn her loss. Thus one by one they are passing to that home where there is neither sickness, sorrow nor death. Son: William B/P. ALLISON w/wife Hannah are buried in Greenwood Cemetery: William P. Allison 1838-February 22, 1919 born Penyan, Yates Co., N. Y.; Hannah Allison died 19th October 1914 aged 74 Daughter and sil: Henry and Harriet Allison GODFREY The Godfreys removed to Conistota SD Harriet d. 10 Aug 1932 Canistota, McCook, SD age 96 I would appriciate any help or leads on information for this family.
