I did not know there was so much info on the census. This has confirmed some details, such as both Alfred's parents being born in the UK - they both moved to NZ about 1860. But I had thought that Alfred moved to the USA much earlier than 1904. Still, he was born in 1879, so I guess 25 was an appropriate age for a young man to strike out into a new country. Again many thanks for the info. Do you have any suggestions as to how I could find whether Fanny and Rosemary married, and if so, who to? Barbara
