Steward F. Douglas, bn. 5 Apr. 1856 Linn Co., Ia d. 16 May 1942 Waterloo, Black Hawk Co, IA. married Mar 1, 1881, Linn Co. to: Betsey Olson, bn. 25 Sept. 1861 Dane Co. WI d. 20 Oct. 1925 Waterloo, IA Their children were: Edward Louis bn. 15 Mar 1882 May, bn. 1885 Effie, bn. 1889 Louis H. bn. 25 Mar. 1891 Bert, born 1900 My records indicate that Stewart had a sister named Catherine, bn. about 1860. Louis married Josephine Anderson, the daughter of Anders "Andrew O." Anderson, and Maria Johnson. Their children were: Stanley Arthur (my ex-father-in-law), bn. 17 Sept. 1914, d. Jan. 17. 1999; "Bobby" Andrew Lloyd , bn. 7-23-1915 and d. March 11, 2000; Maynard B., bn. 3-8-1918 and died Nov. 30, 1995; Bernard Hamilton, bn. May 7, 1920 and died Oct. 18, 2000; Lowell J., bn. 1925 and died Feb. 3, 1995, Elaine J., bn. Aug. 23, 1928; and Irene, bn. March 27, 1932, died March 16, 2001. I am sorry, I cannot answer the question about the spelling of the Olson name. I have seen it both ways, but in Louie Douglas' obituary, it is spelled Olson, which may or may not be correct, depending on who provided the information and if they knew the correct spelling.
