Hi, I am trying to find out about Chickasaw Co. around 1900. My West family was in the 1900 Census for Chickasaw. They could not have been there very long, and I am wondering why they were there. I have a Charles West, born in Indiana 1857, moved to Poweshiek Co. about 1884. Married in Poweshiek Co. in 1888. He was still in Poweshiek Co. in 1894. He is in the 1900 Chickasaw Co., Census. His Obit. indicates he moved to Wayne Co., IA. about 1902. I am interested in 1895-1902 Chickasaw Co.
