Elizabeth Mary Brenneisen was actually born MARIA ELISABETH BRENNEISEN in Haningen, Loerrach, Baden, Germany, on 15 Aug 1947, to Johann Jakob Brenneisen & Anna Maria Buehler. At Ancestry.com, I found this family of Brenneisen in the Database for Baden, Germany Emigration Index, 1866-1911, which shows JOHANN JAKOB BRENNEISEN, Place of Origin: Hauingen, Loerrach, Baden, Year Emigrated: 1867. Others: 10 persons. And I found her siblings at the LDS site: Rebekka, b. 26 Sept 1838; Johann Jakob Friedrich, b. 16 may 1841; Eduard, b. 27 Oct 1845; Ernst Friedrich b. 2 Jan 1850; Heinrich, b. 13 Nov. 1853; and Earnestine b. 14 Nov 1864. >From Earnestine's obituary I know of two other children: Mary and Otto.... They first settled in Lutherville, Arkansas, before moving on to Iowa. I believe that Anna Maria (Buehler) Brenneisen, the mother of these children, must have died in Arkansas...Still hoping to find that out! I also hope to prove that Johann Jakob Brenneisen's parents were Johann Jakob and Maria Eva (Buerger) Brenneisen, and Anna's parents were George and Rebekka (Schwarzwaelder) Buehler!
