My reason for responding however if to let you know that the 1900-1920 censuses could probably answer most of your questions about your grandparents and great grandparents in Iowa. Once you have a reasonable idea where they lived in 1925 you can look them up on the 1925 state census which may name parents, even of great grampa age 92!
