Dear List~ I have reason to believe that my ancestor Carrie Sergeant who m.Charles W. Sample was related to a Smiley Sample of Nashua. Does anyone have anything on this Smiley Sample? I found him in the 1870 IA census: Sample, Smiley IA CHICKASAW CO. NASHUA 503 1870 This was the only Sample I found in Chickasaw at this time.Does anyone know if he had a son named Charles W. that m Carrie Sergeant in Nashua? Who was his mother and did he have siblings? Carrie and Charles were said to have left the area by 1889 or so and lived in St. Paul, MM until 1899, where they moved to Chicago. I am trying to track this couple down to see if they had more children and descendants. Carrie was my gg grandfather's niece. I only have they had one daughter: Descendants of Charles W.
