I hope that you and the baby are well. I got the microfilms of the Chickasaw County State censuses for 1885, 1895 and 1905. In 1885 Aaron's children are gone, except for Jessie who lives on a farm with another family. Aaron is with Laura in Nashua. In 1895 Aaron and Laura are still together in Nashua, and he is still a blacksmith. In 1905 they are still together in Nashua, and he is a tavern keeper. One other federal census (maybe 1900) left me with the impression that Aaron and Laura were in Nashua, but had different addresses. I'll have to check my notes again. Other stuff - Dorothy Carten married a ? Bennett (musician), then Lionel (Link) Hannah (insurance/playwright/screenwriter). Lionel Hannah died in Spain about 1986 (SSDI). He originally was a Canadian, but had some connections with Devil's Lake, NDAK. Dorothy apparently was a "swinger". I have been in contact with her son by Bennett (adopted by Hannah), and her son barely can speak of her without a lot of anger.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Zk.2ADE/134.1.2.2.2 Message Board Post: Lillian Littleproud's maiden name was Lillie Weatherbee of Nashua, Iowa - daughter of Aaron Wetherbee and Ella Heald/Hill. Her first husband was John Carten (not Carter); they were in Indiana in the 1900 census and had a daughter Dorothy in 1901. They were divorced in Ionia, Michigan. Dorothy reached some fame as a playwrite/screenwriter under the names of Dorothy Bennett (1st husband a musician) and Dorothy Hannah (2nd husband Lionel Hannah). Lillian's second husband was Alfred Littleproud (a draftsman) of Detroit. They had two daughters - Flora and Rosemary. Alfred died in 1968 in Highland Park (Detroit). Ghere my trail "peters out".
