Hello. I am hoping for some luck that one of you will know my ggg-grandfather. He died in Cedar County, IA, and I do not how it came to pass that he was living there. Any information would be great. Here is all I know. Joseph (could be James) B. (I think Boyd) Allen, (perhaps Jr.) b. ca. 1831 in OH; married 29 Dec 1853, Little York, Warren County, IL. He married Ann Elizabeth Preston (b. 28 Feb 1836 Cedarville, Greene County, OH; d. 17 Mar 1926 Kearney, Buffalo County, NE.) They had Adolphus Marion Allen (b. ca. 1859 Little York, Warren County, IL). Adolphus had these siblings: William, Irving, James Boyd, Orpha, and ???. Ann Elizabeth Preston's parents were William Preston (b. ca. 1815 Greene County, OH; married 15 Apr 1835 Greene County, d. 17 Sep 1892 Stanwood, Cedar County, IA) and Rebecca Margaret Pollock (b. ca, 1819 Greene County, d. Little York, Warren County, IL). William's mother Margaret was born ca. 1793 in Greene County. I would be very happy if someone recognizes this ancestor. Thank you, Stephanie Denver, CO
