You are absolutely correct that there was a problem with the original transcriptions. I found when going through it that whoever had transcribed it had turned the n's and e's upside down. N's became u's, m's were w's. It was bizarre. Someone was trying to do an 'exact' job and in the process mutilated it by not recognizing the handwriting pecularities of the writing. I was familiar with some names and fixed them, but some are still mutilated. If you need help finding the originals, or if the page numbers are incorrect, let me know. I have the originals and go to the courthouse often. -- Diana Hanson, Administrator, Iowa Digital Education Association Professional Genealogist ************************************************* What good is magic if it can't save a unicorn? ************************************************* http://www.idea.edu/index.html (Idea School) http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Parthenon/5327/ireland.htm (Original IrelandGenWeb Resource Pages and Passenger Lists) http://www.idea.edu/courses/general/gen/index.html (Free Genealogy Classes) http://www.idea.edu/staff/hanson/hubbard/index.html (Mother Hubbard's Cupboard)
