Actually, there were two people from Cedar County named Ives who fought in the Civil War. They are: Ives WH Private "18th Inf. Ives Wm. H Farrier "8th Calvary Co. K This was taken directly from the Ceadr County History. It looks as if someone didn't do a thorough search of the NARA archives when you asked.
