    3. I am looking for information on the Albers/Schwaller family that resided in Templeton in the late 1800s through early 1900s. My gr gr grandparents: Gerhard H Albers & Anna Linneman gr grandparents: John M. Albers & Caroline (Carrie) Schwaller m. March 1884 grandparents: Maurice Doran & Mary Frances (Fran) Albers m. Oct. 20, 1914 Sacred Heart Church, Templeton Specifically, I am looking for info on Anna Linneman's heritage & Carrie Schwaller's heritage plus details on how the Albers, Linnemans & Schwallers earned their living. I would also like to make contact with "Sue" that posted the message at the bottom on Ancestry.com in Dec., 1999. Sue seems to know a bunch about my family and has pictures I would like to get copies of, but has not responded to my e-mail. Any help would be welcome. Thanks, Craig Moseley **************************************************************************** Submitter: Sue Subject: Albers & Stevens Message: Parents: Herman Stevens and Katherine(Kate)Albers born somewhere in Ohio ABT 1851 Daughter: Kathryn Winifred Stevens. She was born 4 NOV 1893 in Templeton Iowa; married Lambert J. Rohner in Carroll, IA about 1918 Grandson: Robert(Bob) Steven Rohner. (born Carroll, IA 11 AUG 1921). Other Children to Herman Stevens George Stevens FEB 1884 Bernard Stevens MAR 1882 Clara Stevens 2 AUG 1889 Elizabeth Stevens 21 APR 1880 Cecelia I was told that there was a fire at the house of Herman Stevens and Kate Albers in Templeton, Carroll, Iowa. One or Some of their children may have perished in that fire. I used the info above to come up with the info below...I would think you could look these names up in the census yourself and possible come up with more info. On Herman, I am unable to hook him to the other Stevens of Templeton without some type of document. He did own a small piece of land right next to Crawford Co. I would appear he had siblings and they did farm in the near by area. There is also a piece of land that appears to have Herman's name as well as a brother and sister who also had their names on the piece of land at the same time. That piece appeared to be from an estate with other chuncks going to persons outside the Stevens name. I find no record of Herman ever using the name John. The only thing even in that way...was the headstone Herman J. This is the only time I have seen the J. appear. If I were you I would take the time to write to Sacred Heart Cath. Ch. in Templeton and check about your families records, mar., birth, school, etc. This is what I do know ( and keep in mind your Albers are not mine). Gerhard H.
