James Buikema officiating. Music was provided by a quartet composed of Jim Smith, Paul Smith, Alan Bolger, and John Schumacher, Judi Alex was organist. Pallbearers are Raymond Goodwin, Dale Lloyd, Ronald Beyerink, Orel Thomas, Howard Thorn, and Harry Schulze. Burial was in Union Township cemetery, Coon Rapids. The Mason Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs Booton died February 29, 1972 at the Greene County Hospital in Jefferson. ============================= Services for Mrs. Virg. Booton (Obituary) March 2, 1972 Funeral services will be held for Mrs Virgil (Beulah) Booton, 71, on Friday morning March 3, at 10;30 a.m. in the United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Buikema officiating. Mrs Booton died late Tuesday afternoon in the Green County Hospital where she had been a patient for about a week. Burial will be in Union Township cemetery. Mrs Booton was born April 27, 1900, on a farm north of Coon Rapids, the daughter of Daniel Thomas and Evelyn Foxworthy. She attended rural schools and Coon Rapids High School. On June 10, 1923, she was married to Virgil Booton and they moved into town in retirement in 1965. Survivors include her husband; one son, Kenneth Gillispie of Leoti, Kansas; four daughters, Mrs Clarence (Virginia) Rohlfsen of Grandville, Mrs J. R. (Shirley) Dusheck of Indianola, Mrs Alexsius (Lavonne) Sjoberg of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Mrs Charles (Arion) Moore of Coon Rapids; 13 grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother, Nile Foxworthy of Coon Rapids. She was preceded in death by a brother, Orval Foxworthy, and (ending cut off) (JS)
