End comes after unfortunate fall on Icey Sidewalk IN BUSINESS IN BLOOMFIELD NEBRASKA Little did the editor realize when he wrote of the serious fall our good friend, Seph Hupp, a couple of weeks ago, which resulted in internal injuries that he would be called on this week to tell our readers that Mr. Hupp passed away from the results of the fall. Seph Hupp will be missed by all Bloomfield. Since coming here and entering business circles, he contributed his share to the welfare of the city. For many years he took an active part in mintaining the Bloomfield baseball club, one of the outstanding and much talked about clubs. His interest did much to develop one of the strongest teams in the state. As a farmer he helped in the developement of this part of the state.After the loss of his wife, he moved to town where he engaged in business until the time of his death. For years he had rather poor health, but he seldom complained, bearing up wonderfully well under the circumstances. Benjamin Seph Hupp was born on Sept 7, 1866, at Coon Rapids, IA he departed this life in Bloomfield on December 19, at the age of 65 yrs, 3mos, and 12 days. He was married March 22, 1896, to Hannah Virginnia Denver, who preceded him in death on June 1, 1927. Their surviving children are as follows:William S., Floyd D. Dewitt D. and Lyle M. Also two grandsons. There arealso two children by a former marriage: Earl W. Hupp and Mrs. Ethel Eberly, and four grandchildren. He leaves one sister, Mrs. Alice Jefferson. Out of town relatives and friends attending the funeral of the deceased were Mr. and Mrs. Ira Pinuell and children, sister-in-law, of Eagle Butte, S.D; Mrs. Carrie North, a niece, of Bayard, IA; Ed Bowers,Nephew, Coon Rapids, IA; Harlan Hyde, Hamlin, nephews, Sioux City; Mrs.Alice Jefferson, sister, Sioux City; Mr and Mrs. Leonard Black, niece, of Verdel; Mr and Mrs. Will Dever, a brother-in-law, Pierce; Mrs. Chris Schader, Pierce; Milo Hupp and Bernard Hupp, nephews, Atkinson, and Mr.and Mrs. B. Boysen, Creighton. The moniter extends its sincere sympathyand condolence to the bereved children and relatives. FALL CAUSES DEATH OF BLOOMFIELD MAN Bloomfield, Neb--(Special) Funeral services were held from the Methodist church, Monday afternoon for B.S. Hupp who was injured, December 10 by a fall on an icey step. He died December 18. He had been a resident ofthis community for 37 years.
