For Wempe, I do not have 1828, but rather 1825 as his birth year. Here is what I have: born: 6/22/1825 Baptized: 6/24/1825 Godparents: Johann Berhard Ahe (His father worked for this guy) Margarethe Engel Loddike (relative) Johann Bernhard Scherpenberg (a coworker of Wempe Sr.) I do not have birth information on Marie Anne, but do for three of her siblings. She probably had at least two older brothers. I believe the family moved to the Dohren area after her birth. Marie Anne Lake's parents: Johann Gerhard Lake Marie Helene Ahillen Johann Gerhard Wempe's parents: Johann Gerhard Wempe Marie Gesine Loddike (sometimes spelled Loddeke) Marriage info on Marie Anne and Johann Gerhard: Date: April 20, 1847 Place: Bookhof (Wempe worked for a Mr. Book) Both of the fathers were no longer living at time of marriage The Wempes are listed as living in Gross Dohren. The Lakes are listed as living in Bookhof, which I am supposing is close to Dohren. I'd love to share information on these lines as well as the KLEINE lline.
