He was born in Hazzard County, Ohio**, July 10th 1803, making him 87 years, 1 month and 4 days old when he died. He served 2 years and 7 months in the late war, and was a member of the G.A.R. at this place. His remains were interred in the Dedham cemetery by his old comrades. The funeral was large, which indicated the deep respect in which he was held. He leaves a wife, 3 sons and 3 daughters to mourn his loss. (Clipping from unidentified newspaper.
