One of my "brick walls". In the Obituary of my GGrandfather (Erick Hanson Johnson), dated 8 Jun 1898, is the following: "Erick Johnson, of Kragero,[Chippewa County, MN] whose brother was murdered at Carroll last fall, died at his home ...." I would like to obtain any information on the murder that I can, in hopes it will give me some clues on my GGrandfather. Would anyone have access to newspapers of Carroll, or guide me in the right direction? I have to believe that this information would have been in the newspapers at that time.
