(ohio) after an ilnnes of several years. Funeal service, incomplete, are being handled by his wife at Bedford; his mother Mrs Jesse Hupp ( Vera Ellen Coppock) , Scranton; three sisters Mrs Albert Anderson of Scranton, Mrs Fred Hutchinson of Lanesboro, and Mrs Giles Johnston of Waterloo and a brother Wayne of Columbia Mo. ================ 1959 November 24 John Elmer Hupp rites held Friday Funeral services for John Elmer Hupp were held Friday Nov 20 at the Huffman funeral Home in Scranton with Robert M. Parris minister in charge. Burial was in Scranton Cemetery. Casket bearers included , Kenneth Anderson, Kenneth Juergens, George Gregory, Frank Kidney, Myron Gregory and Homer Price. Mrs Robert Jongewaard sang "Good Night and Good Morning" accompanied by Mrs Robert Parris , organist. Mr Hupp son of Jesse and Vera Coppock Hupp was born Dec 12, 1910 in the vicinity of "Old Carrollton" south of Glidden in Carroll County. he died at Highland View Hospital , Warrensville, O. (ohio) , Nov 16, 1959 Jack as he was known received his schooling at Glidden, where he was active in sports, having been a member of Glidden's first high school football team. As a youth he belonged to the National Guard at Jefferson. As a youth he attended the Presbyterian Church in Glidden . After his family moved to the vicinity of Ralston he attended the United Brethren Church of Ralston. Mr Hupp was married to Wanda Shaffer on Dec 24, 1937 He was employed by the Thorpe Well Company of Des Moines as a driller for several years. During the war years he was employed by the Du Pont Company in government projects. After the war he moved to Bedford O. (ohio) , where he owned and operated his own well - drilling and pump business. Mr Hupp was president for several years of the Business and Industrial Association of Bedford Heights O., (ohio) , he was also president until the time of his illness of the Ohio Well Drillers Association. The police force of Bedford Heights formed an honor guard while his body lay for viewing at the Johnson Funeral Home at Bedford. He was preceded in death by his father Jesse Hupp He is survuved by his wife Wanda; his mother Mrs Jesse Hupp of Scranton; one brother Wayne of Columbia Mo; three sisters Mrs Fred ( Nellie) Hutchinson of Lanesboro, Mrs Albert (Neva) Anderson of Scranton and Mrs Giles (Rosemary) Johnston of Waterloo and 18 nieces and nephews ============= This is my 2nd cousin three times removed Lorraine
